Value for Money
This family camping tent isn’t one of the cheapest options available, for sure. But, there are so many reasons you should seriously consider it.
Trust me when I say every cent is well-justified by the top-quality construction and stitching.

The Coleman WeatherMaster 10 is made to stand the test of time. Even after a couple of years using this tent, it should stay as good as new – just take reasonable care of it.
The TopNotch team just loves the build quality of this tent.
You’ll find shock cords along with fiberglass poles. Its main poles are made of durable steel, which is also premium quality.
Want more?
The manufacturer, Coleman is up there when it comes to creating products that are both reliable and comfortable.
Zipped entrances, pockets along the tent walls, and an easily adaptable layout are all definite plus points. We also like the fact that the design included a hinged door – you don’t see that very often.
Fun Fact:
Coleman has actually patented its hinged doors!
What does this mean for you?
Many tents have a tendency to catch in the zipper. With the hinged door, this isn’t really possible. During testing, we had the kids from our party opening and closing the doors repeatedly, and they even stood up well to that handling (and sometimes misuse).
The warranty’s a huge plus too – in fact all Coleman tents come with a guarantee for one year.
Ease of Use
Setting up the Coleman WeatherMaster 10 is pretty straightforward. We did it with just two of us – we meticulously followed the instructions and set up the three main pole sections together.
In case you might be asking yourself:
We think a single person could set up this tent. It will just take a little longer, of course.

Adding to the simplicity are color-coded poles and sleeves. A handy help during set-up.
The fly isn’t like your traditional full rain-fly; it also requires minimum effort to set-up. The fly does need to be staked down with guy-lines after you attach it to the main poles.
In terms of the total time setting the tent up, we completed it on our first run in about 20 minutes.
Comfort
Want to know the best part about this tent?
Space, space, and more space!
To be fair we felt 10 people would be a lot to fit in this tent. Our party was 7 in total – 3 adults and 4 kids, and we used sleeping pads rather than air mattresses to optimize our floor space.

And – you can easily house three queen-sized beds inside the Coleman WeatherMaster 10 – ample space for a family of four.
The interior is cabin-style with different areas for sleeping and living. Hence, you get to enjoy your own private space without losing the connection of being together with your family and friends.
We found that…
… around the edges of the tent, you can feel a little cold. We recommend giving extra blankets to anyone who sleeps in the outer edges – just be aware of this.
Water Resistance
Before we talk about water resistance, in particular, let’s focus on the weather resistance provided by the Coleman WeatherMaster 10.
The weather resistance is very good due to the cabin design supported by vertical walls.
Our best advice would be to spray a coat of waterproofer on the tent to prevent any potential leaks.

And the good news?
This camping tent might just be everything you’re looking for. There’s plenty of ventilation thanks to the mesh ceiling, waterproof floors, and windows. The doors and window flaps are also well-designed to ensure optimal air circulation.
In summary, this is a summer tent but it can cope with rain.
But – you should still add an extra layer of weather-proofing in the form of a spray or extra rain fly.
With that, we come to the next part of our performance rating system…
Workmanship
The Coleman WeatherMaster 10 is constructed from premium quality materials throughout.
It’s made of polyester taffeta at 75T. It’s finished with a 450 mm PU coating – great weatherproofing from the wind and rain.
The poles are all color-coordinated making assembly smooth and easy. The continuous pole sleeves add to the convenience.

Our advice?
To improve this tent even further, take along your own titanium stakes – those included aren’t the best quality, and given that they’re so cheap it makes sense to bring your own.
We counted 10 stakes to keep the tent stable and a further six should suffice for the rain fly.
Conclusion: Coleman Weathermaster 10
The Coleman WeatherMaster 10 is the perfect blend of space, high-quality materials, ventilation, waterproof features, and easy setup.
It has multiple features that increase functionality and convenience – including a hinged door, waterproof floors, and inverted leak-free seams.
As if that’s not enough:
There’s the warranty.
A full one year from Coleman on all their tents takes the risk out of your tent investment and means you can relax knowing the manufacturer is confident enough in their product to guarantee it for a whole year.
